Борис Джонсон, Министр иностранных дел Великобритании, заявил, что потребует ввести новые санкции в отношении РФ из-за поддержки режима Башара Асада в Сирии.


Джонсон настаивает, чтобы главы МИД стран «Большой семерки» опубликовали совместное требование к России вывести войска с территории Сирии и прекратить поддержку режима Башара Асада. Если Москва проигнорирует обращение, министр предлагает ввести дополнительные санкции.


Соответствующий документ будет представлен на встрече глав МИД «Большой Семерки» в Италии. Санкции направлены против ведущих правительственных чиновников РФ. Джонсон поддерживает атаку по авиабазе в Сирии, произведенную 7 апреля армией США.
