Глава Евросовета Дональд Туск посоветовал Евросоюзу принять запрос Великобритании на перенос конечной даты Brexit с 31 октября до 31 января. 


В прошлый четверг ЕС и Соединенное Королевство провели двухдневные переговоры, итогом которых стало согласование обновлённой сделки по условиям Brexit. Далее документ сделки был одобрен саммитом глав 27 остающихся в Евросоюзе стран. Конечное принятие решения по условиям Brexit будет вынесено после того, как документ будет ратифицирован парламентом Великобритании и Европарламентом.


Однако вчера премьер-министр Великобритании Борис Джонсон потерпел поражение в парламенте: депутаты отказались рассматривать сделку о Brexit в трехдневный срок. Теперь основным вопросом на повестке дня является тема отсрочки даты «развода» ЕС и Британии.
