Марио Драги: Европе необходим банковский союз

Председатель Европейского центрального банка (ЕЦБ) Марио Драги намерен предпринять конкретные шаги для создания банковского союза в еврозоне.

М. Драги считает, что отсутствие общих правил и механизмов защиты банков и их клиентов препятствует развитию трансграничного кредитования в Европе.

Он отметил, что в период финансового кризиса банки значительно сократили объем зарубежных операций, чтобы снижать риски, а сильнее других данной тенденции были подвержены европейские финансовые организации. Кроме того, глава ЕЦБ подчеркнул необходимость оздоровления банковского сектора и снижения доли проблемных активов.

Глава Deutsche Bank Кристиан Севин также поддержал проект создания банковского союза в еврозоне, который бы позволил разработать единый стандарт для обеспечения конкурентного преимущества перед компаниями Азии и США.
