Глава Министерства финансов США Стивен Мнучин заявил, что регулятор не выступает против использования криптовалют при взаиморасчетах, но стремится ограничить возможности для спекуляций и финансирования терроризма.

Он подчеркнул, что регулятор не против применения криптовалют в рамках правового поля. Согласно позиции Минфина США, криптовалюты обязаны подчиняться тем же законам при совершении транзакций, что и любые другие валюты.

Выступая в палате представителей Конгресса США, С. Мнучин заявил, что необходимо ограничить использование криптовалют в целях спекуляций, финансирования терроризма и других противозаконных действий.
