Центробанк Китая заинтересовался цифровыми технологиями и намерен выпускать собственный прототип криптовалюты. Регулятор занимается тщательным изучением Bitcoin и других цифровых валют. К решению о выпуске собственной электронной валюты Народный банк пришел в результате опасений по поводу практически повсеместного использования онлайн-платежей в стране. Жители предпочитают пользоваться транзакциями через смартфон или ноутбук, снижая популярность физических денег. 

Такое развитие событий может отрицательно сказаться на статусе Народного банка Китая как финансового регулятора. Центробанк решил не бороться с результатами технического прогресса, а, наоборот, использовать их в своих интересах. Начав выпуск собственной криптовалюты, Банк Китая сможет осуществлять контроль рисков в финансовой системе и следить за осуществляемыми транзакциями в масштабах всей экономики страны. 

Тестирование новой цифровой валюты уже было проведено. Продавцы будут получать платежи покупателей напрямую, минуя любых посредников. Комиссии и прочие платежные расходы будут значительно сокращены.
