За последние две недели в Соединенных Штатах было зарегистрировано около 15 000 случаев заболевания Covid-19. Многие предполагают, что реальное число пациентов с вирусом намного выше, но это не может быть подтверждено из-за отсутствия достаточного количества тест-наборов.
 
Палата представителей уже получила одобрение на пакет стимулирующих мер в размере 500 миллиардов долларов для борьбы с пандемией. Кроме того, сегодня республиканцы в Сенате выдвинули еще один план помощи объемом $1 трлн.
 
В рамках нового законопроекта правительство будет ежемесячно выплачивать поддержку всем американцам на время кризиса. Многие малообеспеченные семьи в Соединенных Штатах особенно сильно пострадали от вспышки коронавируса, потому что они не могут ходить на работу, а поэтому не могут позволить себе оплачивать счета или покупать лекарства.
