Конгресс США раскритиковал проект Libra

На этой неделе курс биткоина отскочил от уровня $13000 и скорректировался до отметки $9013 на фоне слушаний в Конгрессе США по поводу проекта криптовалюты Libra от Facebook.

Министр финансов США Стивен Мнучин заявил, что криптовалюта Libra может применяться для отмывания денег, а также для финансирования террористической деятельности.

В ходе заседания конгрессмены призвали представителей компании Facebook приостановить разработку Libra пока регуляторы не устранят все сомнения относительно данной криптовалюты.

Президент США Дональд Трамп в своих последних высказываниях подчеркнул, что Bitcoin и другие цифровые монеты не являются деньгами.

По его мнению, криптовалюта Libra не сможет обеспечивать достаточный уровень надежности, поэтому данное направление деятельности Facebook должно быть тщательно изучено регулирующими органами.
