Новый министр иностранных дел Великобритании Джереми Хант приехал в Пекин для укрепления торгово-экономического сотрудничества на фоне выхода Великобритании из состава Евросоюза.

Министр заявил, что из-за Brexit стране необходимо шире смотреть на внешние связи, а Соединенное Королевство и Китай являются державами с глобальными перспективами.

Дж. Хант проведет переговоры с членом госсовета КНР, министром иностранных дел Ван И. Основной темой для обсуждения станут принципы многосторонних отношений и свободы в торговле, а также вопросы совместной работы над проблемами изменения климата, безопасности и др.

Поездка Дж. Ханта станет первой после вступления в должность министра иностранных дел Великобритании.
