Индия снизила пошлины на импорт товаров из пяти стран Азии

Министерство коммерции и промышленности Индии сообщило о снижении тарифов на ввоз товаров для пяти стран азиатского региона.

Ведомство снизило тарифы на 3142 товара из Китая, Южной Кореи, Лаоса, Шри-Ланки и Бангладеш. Сокращение пошлин вступает в силу 1 июля текущего года в рамках действующего Азиатско-тихоокеанского торгового соглашения (APTA).

Власти Индии решили понизить тарифы на импорт товаров из стран азиатского региона на фоне существующих разногласий между Индией и США, обострившихся после введения пошлин на ввоз стали и алюминия. Индия называет политику Соединенных Штатов протекционистской и полагает, что она вредит глобальной экономике. В качестве ответных мер с 4 августа Нью-Дели планирует повысить пошлины на импорт сельскохозяйственных товаров, стали и железной руды из США.
