WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Společnost Firefly Aerospace v neděli uspěla se svým prvním pokusem o přistání na Měsíci se svou kosmickou lodí Blue Ghost bez posádky a zahájila tak dvoutýdenní výzkumnou misi v době, kdy hrstka soukromých firem soutěží o to, kdo se dostane do první linie globálního závodu o Měsíc.

Čtyřnohá loď Blue Ghost o velikosti kompaktního automobilu nesla 10 vědeckých nákladů, když přistála kolem 9:35 SEČ poblíž starobylého sopečného průduchu na Mare Crisium, velké pánvi v severovýchodním rohu měsíční strany přivrácené k Zemi.
