Last month, inflation increased by 7.5%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.8%. The annual figure is still at the records of forty years ago, now it is the highest since January 1982. The value of January was a record since February 1982. The indicators in annual and monthly terms coincided with analysts' forecasts. It is worth noting that core inflation in the United States (excluding food and energy prices) for the year was 6.4%, and for February – 0.5%. Food prices in the United States rose by 1% in February, energy prices rose by 6.7%. Over the year, food has risen in price by 7.9%, and energy – by 37.9%.
