На этой неделе Дональд Трамп дал надежду инвесторам на заключение торгового соглашения с Китаем, поскольку решил не подписывать гонконгский законопроект, принятый Конгрессом США. Однако теперь он передумал, что вызывало резкое недовольство Китая.

Заявленная цель законопроекта – помощь Гонконгу в сохранении его независимости от КНР. В нем прописаны критерии автономии, которым Гонконг должен соответствовать каждый год, чтобы продолжать торговлю с Соединенными Штатами. Кроме того, он определяет условия для защиты прав человека, а также наказания китайских должностных лиц, которые их нарушают.

Китай критикуется мировым сообществом за то, что он обрушился на протестующих в Гонконге. При этом правительство КНР давно придерживается принципа невмешательства в политические дела других стран и требует такого же отношения взамен.

Поэтому китайские власти были глубоко возмущены решением Трампа подписать законопроект, который ранее он публично критиковал.

Рынки негативно отреагировали на эту новость, так как это может означать, что Китай откажется от подписания торгового соглашения с США. Тогда как несколько дней назад обе стороны заявляли, что близки к достижению первой фазы торгового соглашения, но сейчас это представляется крайне маловероятным.
