The index of economic expectations in the eurozone in October reached -41 points after -37 points in September. According to the Sentix research group, this value has updated the minimum since December 2008. In addition, the index of investor confidence in the eurozone economy in October fell to -38.3 points from -31.8, which remained the lowest level since May 2020. At the same time, the index of current economic conditions dropped to -35.5 points after -26.5 points in September. The indicator has become the lowest since August 2020. Sentix also reported that the index of economic expectations in the eurozone's largest economy, Germany, fell in October to a historic low of -41.3 points. The index of confidence in the country's economy fell to -37.4 points (minimum since March 2009), and current economic conditions – to -33.5 points (minimum since July 2020). The Sentix index reflects the level of investor confidence in the economic prospects of the European region.
