US President-elect Donald Trump plans to buy Greenland, which will be the largest territorial acquisition in the country's history, surpassing the purchase of Louisiana in 1803. Trump raised the idea again, announcing PayPal co-founder Ken Khouri as his candidate for the post of U.S. ambassador to Denmark, which has controlled Greenland for more than 300 years.
