Мексика провела тендер по нефтяным и газовым участкам, расположенным в прибрежных водах Мексиканского залива. По словам министра энергетики страны Педро Хоакина Колдуэлла, посредством этого власти рассчитывают привлечь инвестиции в размере $8,6 млрд.

Согласно расчетам, к 2022 году на предложенных участках добыча нефти возрастет до 280 тыс. баррелей в сутки, а добыча газа – до 220 млн кубических футов.

На торги были выставлены 35 блоков, по 16 из них уже определены победители. Помимо привлечения $8,626 млрд, власти намерены создать свыше 86 тысяч дополнительных рабочих мест.
