Французская компания Total намерена приобрести за $7,45 млрд Maersk Oil & Gas, нефтегазовое подразделение датской группы компаний A.P. Moller-Maersk.

Сделку планируют закрыть в первой четверти 2018 года. Total намерена погасить задолженность объемом $2,5 млрд, а остальную часть суммы – выплатить акциями компании.

По расчетам владельцев Total, покупка Maersk Oil & Gas увеличит нефтегазовые запасы примерно на 1 млрд баррелей, а также повысит рентабельность, конкурентоспособность и общую стоимость компании.
