Čína napadla slib nově zvoleného amerického prezidenta Donalda Trumpa uvalit další cla na čínské zboží kvůli toku fentanylu a uvedla, že jeho nastupující administrativa přenáší vinu za americkou opiátovou krizi na Čínu.
Trump, který se ujme úřadu 20. ledna, v pondělí prohlásil, že zavede 10% clo na čínské zboží, aby Peking udělal více pro zastavení obchodu s chemikáliemi čínské výroby, které se používají ve vysoce návykovém narkotiku.
Během předvolební kampaně vyhrožoval cly přesahujícími 60 % na čínské zboží.
„Postoj Číny vůči jednostrannému zvyšování cel je konzistentní,“ uvedl ve čtvrtek na pravidelném brífinku mluvčí ministerstva obchodu He Yadong. „Uvalování svévolných cel na obchodní partnery nevyřeší problémy samotné Ameriky.“
Dodal, že USA by měly dodržovat pravidla Světové obchodní organizace a spolupracovat s Čínou na podpoře stabilních hospodářských a obchodních vztahů.

Today, any price movements may turn out to be false signals, and we are awaiting a resolution of the situation with the release of the US employment data tomorrow evening.
