Федеральная резервная система США на заседании 3 мая сохранила базовую процентную ставку на уровне 0,75-1%, высказав оптимистичные взгляды на экономику страны.

Представители регулятора отметили, что ситуация на рынке труда продолжает укрепляться, несмотря на снижение экономической активности в стране. Инвестиции в основной капитал предприятий выросли, а уровень безработицы в течение последних месяцев снизился. Темпы инфляции за прошедшие 12 месяцев приблизились к целевой отметке 2%.

Чиновники ФРС считают, что замедление экономического роста в 1 квартале 2017 года – временное явление, и в результате корректировки монетарной политики экономическая активность в стране проложит умеренный рост, а ситуация на рынке труда стабилизируется. После заседания ожидания увеличения ставок до 1,00-1,25% 14 июня выросли до 70,6%, вызвав укрепление доллара США против всех основных валют.
