Президент США Дональд Трамп, по сообщению New York Times, намерен отказаться от сделки по ядерной программе Ирана и наложить на страну санкции.

Дипломатические источники сообщили изданию, что президент по большей части настроен отказаться от сделки с Тегераном и вновь ввести санкции, приостановленные в результате венского соглашения от июля 2015 года.

При этом Д. Трамп может позволить европейским странам поддерживать экономические отношения с Ираном, не подвергая их при этом давлению со стороны США.

Ранее президент Франции Эмманюэль Макрон и канцлер Германии Ангела Меркель встречались с Д. Трампом, чтобы убедить его сохранить в силе прежние договоренности и обсудить условия нового соглашения по Ирану.

Европейские лидеры полагают, что Иран может снова начать производство топлива, и ссылаются на то, что Вашингтон первым нарушил соглашение. Однако Тегеран также может остаться в рамках договоренностей, что приведет к расколу между США и европейскими странами, которые не разделяют позицию Вашингтона.

Д. Трамп объявил, что 8 мая в 14:00 (21:00 мск) огласит свое решение относительно соглашения по ядерной программе Ирана.
