Международная организация труда (МОТ), входящая в структуру ООН, прогнозирует, что уровень безработицы в мире в 2018 году сохранится в пределах значений 2017 года.

МОТ сообщает, число безработных на планете стабилизируется после периода активного роста в 2016 году. Однако эксперты отметили, что в прошедшем году количество безработных на планете достигло рекордных 192,7 млн человек, что составляет 5,6% от всего населения Земли. По сравнению с 2016 годом безработных стало на 2,6 млн человек больше. 

В 2018 году организация труда прогнозирует незначительное снижение уровня безработицы – на 0,1%. При этом число безработных останется на прежнем уровне, тогда как количество работающих людей возрастет. Улучшение ситуации на мировом рынке труда, по мнению экспертов, вызвано падением уровня безработицы в развитых странах. В 2018 году ожидается дальнейшее снижение показателя до 5,5%.
