Тереза Мэй, премьер-министр Великобритании, сообщила, что, согласно текущим оценкам, страна должна будет заплатить Евросоюзу 35-39 млрд фунтов стерлингов за выход из состава объединения.

Выступая в парламенте Великобритании, Мэй заявила, что стороны определили методику расчета и объем выплат, которые достигнут £35-39 млрд. При этом Мэй отметила, что вопрос о выплатах будет обсуждаться в рамках более широкой дискуссии с представителями Евросоюза о развитии партнерства и будущих торговых отношений.

Окончательный выход Великобритании из состава ЕС произойдет 29 марта 2019 года.
