Али Ганем, министр нефти и минеральных ресурсов Сирии, сообщил, что с начала военного конфликта уровень добычи нефти в стране снизился в 24 раза, до 16 тыс. баррелей в сутки, газа – в 1,6 раза, до 13,5 млн м³ в сутки.

По словам министра, до конца 2017 года Сирия намерена увеличить нефтедобычу до 25 тыс. баррелей в сутки, добычу газа – до 16 млн м³ в сутки.

Сумма общих убытков нефтяного сектора экономики Сирии с начала военных действий, согласно предварительным оценкам, превышает 68 млрд долларов США.
