The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, has signed an agreement with the Danish giant Maersk to inject significant amounts of investment into the country's seaport infrastructure. According to an official announcement on the website of the Nigerian Presidential Administration, the investment will amount to $600 million. Tinubu also noted that the government's current investments in ocean port infrastructure amount to $1 billion. The new agreements involve the modernization of the container terminal in Ogun State. According to information from the Danish company, they have already invested about $2 billion in Nigeria's port infrastructure.
