The court ordered the Trump administration to restore funding for humanitarian aid

US federal judge Amir Ali has ordered the Donald Trump administration to resume financing foreign aid contracts until the end of the trial. Earlier, Donald Trump signed a decree freezing international aid programs for a period of 90 days.

This decision was made on the basis of lawsuits filed by humanitarian organizations. Representatives of these organizations expressed concern that the suspension of such support could cause serious damage to humanitarian missions.

The non-profit organizations said that Trump's order and the memorandum of Secretary of State Marco Rubio, published at the end of last month, which imposed restrictions on new commitments to finance international aid programs and proposed to terminate a number of operations, contradict the laws and the Constitution. 

In addition, they pointed out that this decision «caused chaos in the financing and management processes» on the part of USAID and other organizations involved in foreign aid.
