On Thursday, investors expect the publication of data on retail sales, industrial production and applications for unemployment benefits in the United States. These indicators may give new signals about the prospects for further Fed rate cuts. Traders estimate the probability of a 25 bps rate cut in November at 97.2%.

Delegates to the annual meeting of the London Precious Metals Market Association predict an increase in gold prices to $2,941 over the next 12 months.
