Analysts note that Apple, which previously lagged behind in the race for artificial intelligence, may soon make a powerful leap forward. Following OpenAI and Google, Apple is creating its own large language models and chatbot capable of competing with ChatGPT and Bard. However, Apple still needs to develop a clear strategy for releasing this technology to consumers. The iPhone manufacturer has developed its own structure for creating large AI-based language models with the help of a foundation known as Ajax, and has also created a chatbot service called Apple GPT. Following the news, Apple shares rose 2.3% to a record high of $198.23, recovering from previous losses. Microsoft Corporation, a partner and main supporter of OpenAI, a competitor of Apple, lost about 1% after this news. Recall that last year Apple was caught off guard with the advent of ChatGPT, Bard and Bing AI from Microsoft. Apple has been introducing AI technologies into its products for a long time, and now it is actively present in the market of generative tools capable of creating essays, images and videos based on text prompts. Apple CEO Tim Cook noted that although the technology has potential, there are still a number of problems that need to be solved, and therefore Apple will carefully introduce artificial intelligence into more of its products.
