On the back of this news, the company's shares jumped 26%. The CEO of SpaceX and Tesla now owns nearly 73.5 million Twitter shares. The value of the block of shares is $2.89 billion, based on the share price on the stock exchange on April 1 – $49.40 per share. A little earlier, Elon Musk conducted a survey among Twitter users, according to the results of which about 70% of respondents (a total of 2 million users voted) are sure that this social network does not adhere to the principles of freedom of speech. At the same time, Musk wrote that he was thinking about creating his own platform. Media reports that the fact that Musk became a shareholder of the platform will be another serious test for the new CEO of Twitter, Parag Agrawal. Agrawal succeeded company founder Jack Dorsey, who stepped down in November.
